Public transit
Hello blog, so with my current work schedule and how busy I have been it’s been a little difficult to film. I have taken into account my partner (Paneet Kandolas) that I have been lacking in attention to the project in my duty of filming in my own free time with her. However, I did film with her on Monday and Tuesday before this week.
So I’ve planned the filming days that will only contain clips of me and or others that we know. However I am supposed to be the main character so this has been rather difficult. But I decided just today 10/26 that when my friend invited me out I should film our interaction. I got one particular clip that I thought was hilarious. We decided to play around with some swords we found in the Halloween section and film ourselves. Added with more clips of me running across the street and getting on the public bus. Though all of that is a key part of my normal day, it just screams young and dumb, so even if my clips don’t make the Final Cut I still wanna say I put the effort forward to contribute to the video.
Likewise, when I decided to edit the clips and fast-forward them a bit, my partner had already taken the initiative to edit and put in place our music video seeing as many clips were already on her phone so I did my best to edit and crop the scenes to fit. I went into CapCut and cropped the clip of me walking on the bus, inserting my dollar into the machine. My friend who was already on the bus recorded me walking to the seat beside her. This is an important part to me because growing up with a car and not wanting to walk places is the best transportation for someone who has little money and can not always afford to take expensive transportation. In addition, the angles that were shown were a point-of-view shot and then a long-distance shot showing my full figure.
I’ve also planned to film tomorrow seeing as it is Halloween, me and a couple of friends are planning to hang out, I’m not yet sure how this filming will go but I am very excited. Thank you for tuning in to the blog, and see you tomorrow.
