Planning for music video

(Intro) Janiah: Hey guys, so in planning our film we discussed and came up with some good points. The point of the music video is so we can portray a certain message of coming of age with the song ‘Location’. Props: Beach Items In particular of using beach themed items can help viewers identify the summer setting without actually needing to write it across the screen in bold letters Costumes Hats, Shorts, Etc. The particular clothing in a video can help viewers understand the weather conditions, the summer heat is usually accompanied with short tight clothing. Filming Schedule Particularly with filming, Janiah Charles has a job so our group must work around the schedule . This means our group will likely participate in activities after school or non school days because of the ban on filming at school. This also does help with our plan of shooting the music video of different moments in the day when our characters decide to meet up. However, a drawback is the fundamental time wasted and days without filming on weekends. Location List Pompano Beach: decided to maybe use this because of the possibility of having a bonfire on the beach, having smoke surrounded by a fire. Wilton Manors : Wilton manor particularly surrounds our school, leading to let out of our dismissal time we will be recording, in order to implement the ending of the school year and letting go of high school to start college or introduction to adult life. It is usually hard to let go of things attached to things like that of school even if there was not a fond memory of it. We hope to relay this from close up shots of characters deep reaction to being confronted with school (something to leave behind and find themselves) Starbucks : The study at Starbucks is already a normal base for our group and implementing it would be second nature. Hugh Birch State Park: The park has a beautiful view to catch. The point of the filming is to show a group of teens having their last moments before they go their separate ways. So taking in new discoveries as a group and old ones helps with the final moments that would be added with photos and joyful smiles. Other: Las Olas, Fort Lauderdale Beach Filming Dates 10/16/23 10/17/23 10/20/23 10/23/23 10/24/23 Backup Plan In certain situations of maybe weather issues, in filming we would maybe partially add it in to present the “Young Dumb and Broke” aesthetic. Or in worst cases of not being able to make it we can add it in filming or even through the last moments, things come up and ‘it's real life now’. So back up plans have not been thoroughly discussed because we don't particularly find them to be necessary for our filming. Rough Plans: Young dumb and Broke Someone outside the car and then saying the lyrics Brunch Counting loose dollars and cents Title: "Youthful Bonds" INTRODUCTION: - The film opens with a picturesque small town. - We meet four high school friends: Alex, Sarah, Mike, and Emily. - The song "Young Dumb & Broke" sets the tone as they graduate. ACT 1: - Alex, the protagonist, dreams of college but lacks funds. - Sarah works part-time, caring for her younger siblings. - Mike struggles with his grades and expectations. - Emily is an aspiring artist, but her parents don't support her. ACT 2: - The friends devise a plan to spend their last summer together. - They work odd jobs, saving money while having fun. - Their adventures include road trips, campfires, and beach days. - Alex meets a mentor who helps him apply for scholarships. ACT 3: - As summer ends, their bond grows stronger. - Sarah's dedication inspires her parents to support her. - Mike gets a tutor and improves his grades. - Emily decides to pursue art school. CONCLUSION: - The friends part ways for college, their futures brighter. - They sing along to "Young Dumb & Broke" one last time. - The film ends with a hopeful message about friendship and pursuing dreams. Concluding Remarks Janiah pov: WOW! So our situation can change at any moment but as long as it's discussed the group should be able to completely pull through. In hopes of starting filming I hope it goes more successful than my own personal filming from my previous assignment.

In production I plan on doing a view of my own eyes, through this lens, and taking it into a continuous loop, showing my day-by-day. However, it doesn’t change It is supposed to offer you my day isn’t so different from one of a working adult or that of someone who’s a slave to the government income. Then finally in the end it will show you how I break that cycle and take in my happiness with friends and chilling by the beach. However, on my first day of recording, I underestimated the difficulty. I would often forget to record or accidentally end the recording. Holding the camera up to my forehead was also difficult to capture the visual representation through my eyes. In another situation with the camera being held up, many people look at me weirdly, not that I care too much but personally capturing everyone in my video does seem unnecessary and rude. Angles and Editing

  Hello blog, so I wanna talk about editing today. When editing clips I personally filmed. I started with changing the rotation. so if it was filmed horizontally by accident I changed it in my simple iPhone editing to vertically. I have not been able to completely watch the video, because my partner has not let me view the edits she’s made officially.   But when I am able to completely watch it. I hope to take out extra unnecessary clips and or clips that may have repetitive angles. Though there is no fundamental storyline, I want the angles, and editing to support the song. The visual appeal I’m following is that of one summer vibe, when looking at a previously filmed Khalid song she often uses filters over them changing lighting. I also want to do that because the time the song was produced aligns with the aesthetic of other music video videos.  Some creative angles I've shot or pitched can be seen throughout. Filming cost

 Hello blog, so to greatly recap my filming history. I must include the spending I've succumbed to in this process. Honestly just saying the title of the song out loud is a little ironic seeing as I’ve spent maybe more than a hundred dollars. I could just be acting dramatic but in this blog, I’ll account for the cost of filming.  So the first day of filming was actually the most budget-friendly and my partner got around with her parents' help, it was honestly the best filming day and we were able to go out and eat after. The second day of my filming was my Lyft to Las Olas (now I’ll pause right here, but something to take into account is majority of filming depends on availability and I work and also have other important classes I also partake in, cost and affordability of certain depends in ranges for me in my partner.
