Additional Information



-Actors; In my short intro to film, it will be myself and my friend Maya 



-filming; filming will occur just before break because i'm renovating my house, though it will particularly take place in my kitchen because i switched my idea for my video. 

location; the filming location will be in my home, precisely my kitchen. I was originally skeptical of filming in my kitchen because it so out dated compared to others. However, after beginning to film i noticed i can use this to an advantage. 


-Editing; editing will consist of me formatting my video into CapCut or an online title sequence like I've written about in previous blogs. Since my thriller will be more exciting I want to be able to flexibly move around my house. There will also be scene that will need to fast pace and enticing so I’ve been in search for good sound and editing around with CapCut filters. 


-Directing; The directing will consist of my fellow class mate and friend Kylie McDonald, though i am working by myself i took indicative in creative idea if necessary in like writing and particular designs in the video. However, kylie helped with filming and produced some fundamental scenes. 


- Filming Schedule; filming schedule will begin February 1st- to the 10th. This is because of other classes I will have and my current job schedule possibly interfering. My normal work schedule consists of me going to work 3 times a week for 6 hours a day. On the one day I usually work on school nights I have no time to do anything other than sleep. However, with filming I want to prioritize filming during the night time on weekends because it fit the aesthetic of a night time thriller much darker than blocking out the daylight. Though it is likely for me to film after school because it easier to get my friends together with their pact schedule because of work , school work, and club activity’s. 


- Health &  Safety; When filming, some safety precautions I will take is having a first aid kit ready in case of any accidents as when I'm running in a particular part of the intro. In my video i will be grabbing my friend in a particular scene it might be difficult though i will take extra precautions to not hurt each other. Another important thing to be safe with is the kitchen scene all together. I use a knife to cut onions, tomato’s, and lettuce. While also i have meat on the stove with it sizzling meat. For these two the first aid kit will be present in case of a burn or cut that may happen. 

- Props/ Costumes; In costume i will be using normal school clothing and when filming kitchen utensils they will be real but those are my props. I do create fake blood for some gory scenes.

  Hello blog, I’ll be reflecting on the music video today. Enjoy the inside of my thoughts I possibly left out in other blogs.  How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? In my group's production we picked the song ‘Young dumb and broke’. Our instructure gave us free creativity with our songs, though to not follow along with the songs lyrics completely or copy the artist's existing video. I thought about this for a long idea and my partner and I shot ideas at each other. Though when it actually came to planning and creating the story board it felt rushed and over procrastinated. That's what can explain the missing storyline or lack of overall social group or issue.   The genre of the songs is R&B which is often a sequence of khalid's movie in which i researched getting more inspiration for the music video. Angles and Editing

  Hello blog, so I wanna talk about editing today. When editing clips I personally filmed. I started with changing the rotation. so if it was filmed horizontally by accident I changed it in my simple iPhone editing to vertically. I have not been able to completely watch the video, because my partner has not let me view the edits she’s made officially.   But when I am able to completely watch it. I hope to take out extra unnecessary clips and or clips that may have repetitive angles. Though there is no fundamental storyline, I want the angles, and editing to support the song. The visual appeal I’m following is that of one summer vibe, when looking at a previously filmed Khalid song she often uses filters over them changing lighting. I also want to do that because the time the song was produced aligns with the aesthetic of other music video videos.  Some creative angles I've shot or pitched can be seen throughout. Public transit

 Hello blog, so with my current work schedule and how busy I have been it’s been a little difficult to film. I have taken into account my partner (Paneet Kandolas) that I have been lacking in attention to the project in my duty of filming in my own free time with her. However, I did film with her on Monday and Tuesday before this week.  So I’ve planned the filming days that will only contain clips of me and or others that we know. However I am supposed to be the main character so this has been rather difficult. But I decided just today 10/26 that when my friend invited me out I should film our interaction. I got one particular clip that I thought was hilarious. We decided to play around with some swords we found in the Halloween section and film ourselves. Added with more clips of me running across the street and getting on the public bus.
