Comparing 9, the short, and 9, the full-length movie

Short Film: My take away from the short film is that this story happened in a post-apocalyptic world, seeing that the set was in a rundown place resembling a junkyard which is a convention of post-apocalyptic movies. My interpretation of the plot is that the tiny men that are numbered from numbers 1-9 are trying to live in this post-apocalyptic world while being hunted by a monster. We see when the number 5 is killed, the monster steals his soul, but before 5 is killed he hands 9 something that causes flashbacks. Through the film a suspenseful sound was played along in the background building the tension to the film and all the characters. Although because of the continuous sound there was no dialogue making so the viewers would need to interpret the film on there own, also meaning that characters needed to communication in their own way.

Long Film: The long film had much suspense  and spectacular-ness  to it giving life to each character/ rag doll having extra detail. There were some disturbing scenes that built to the thriller/ horror genre, having images of machines being beheaded and characters having life drained from them. intense explosions and sounds with music playing the suspense was very serious.

Comparison: The short film had components of no dialogue and a constant sound track that the movie did not have. The movie had more plot, showing the doll creatures had to work together. I personally liked both films having the same concepts, however the longer version gave more detail to the story and brought much more attentions to the characters and the plot of the movie that the short film could not.
