  Hello blog, so I wanna talk about editing today. When editing clips I personally filmed. I started with changing the rotation. so if it was filmed horizontally by accident I changed it in my simple iPhone editing to vertically. I have not been able to completely watch the video, because my partner has not let me view the edits she’s made officially.   But when I am able to completely watch it. I hope to take out extra unnecessary clips and or clips that may have repetitive angles. Though there is no fundamental storyline, I want the angles, and editing to support the song. The visual appeal I’m following is that of one summer vibe, when looking at a previously filmed Khalid song she often uses filters over them changing lighting. I also want to do that because the time the song was produced aligns with the aesthetic of other music video videos.  Some creative angles I've shot or pitched can be seen throughout.  Hello blog, so to greatly recap my filming history. I must include the spending I've succumbed to in this process. Honestly just saying the title of the song out loud is a little ironic seeing as I’ve spent maybe more than a hundred dollars. I could just be acting dramatic but in this blog, I’ll account for the cost of filming.  So the first day of filming was actually the most budget-friendly and my partner got around with her parents' help, it was honestly the best filming day and we were able to go out and eat after. The second day of my filming was my Lyft to Las Olas (now I’ll pause right here, but something to take into account is majority of filming depends on availability and I work and also have other important classes I also partake in, cost and affordability of certain depends in ranges for me in my partner.  Hello blog, so with my current work schedule and how busy I have been it’s been a little difficult to film. I have taken into account my partner (Paneet Kandolas) that I have been lacking in attention to the project in my duty of filming in my own free time with her. However, I did film with her on Monday and Tuesday before this week.  So I’ve planned the filming days that will only contain clips of me and or others that we know. However I am supposed to be the main character so this has been rather difficult. But I decided just today 10/26 that when my friend invited me out I should film our interaction. I got one particular clip that I thought was hilarious. We decided to play around with some swords we found in the Halloween section and film ourselves. Added with more clips of me running across the street and getting on the public bus.   Hello, vlog! So, on October 18, 2023, we finally started filming our music video. The storyboard had already been created, so most of our scenes will have a similar theme. Before the day even began, I was messaged by my  partner, Paneet Kandolas, to dress more casually and comfortably, considering I would be in the scenes we were supposed to film that day. We had also previously discussed the location and ended up switching it due to accessibility issues. The library scene When we finally arrived at the library, it was the Broward Main Library in Las Olas, Fort Lauderdale. We decided to plan and immerse ourselves in the scenery before filming, but we also didn't want to waste any time, so we began filming right away. Filming started around 3pm and ended around 4pm. During this time, we captured many shots of us in the library, not necessarily for immediate use, but just in case for timing or visual reference. Hello, blog, when creating the blog. Me and my partner Paneet brainstormed ideas for our music video. We tried to demonstrate the idea of summer vibes completely through our music video. So we came up with ideas like beach scenes, studying at the park, or riding bicycles through the streets at night. It can be possibly really hard to film because we’re currently in school and it's getting a little chilly because of the approaching fall winds. However, we still feel as though we can make it work. The second thing we needed to confront was the challenge of making our storyboard. In which we make illustrations of our vision for the board. Hey blog, when creating this blog me and my playboy looked into creatively picking scenes and summarizing them to the best of our abilities. I personally drew the picture and my partner Paneet choreographed and summarized the scene in order.

The point of the music video is so we can portray a certain message of coming of age with the song ‘Location’. Props: Beach Items In particular of using beach themed items can help viewers identify the summer setting without actually needing to write it across the screen in bold letters Costumes Hats, Shorts, Etc. The particular clothing in a video can help viewers understand the weather conditions, the summer heat is usually accompanied with short tight clothing. Title Research Blog - Music Video Analysis Content Janiah’s Intro: HEY! The start of research has been fundamentally important for our filming. We discussed what songs to take into account and why it may be important, like necessarily finding other R&B music, while also looking into our artist ‘Khalid's’ music. Water - Tyla Camera Angles, Movement, and Shots: To start, the primary camera angle used was eye level. The reason is that the viewers and Tyla make direct eye contact as if she is singing the song “to them”. Oddly, the thumbnail of the video is at eye level but significantly prevalent eye contact is not represented in the frame selected. Redirecting back to camera angles in the video, there were a few high angles and no canted or low angles. Typically, the use of low angles to be intimidating and canted angles to add a sense of exploration adds to the characteristics of a music video. Hello blog, this is going to be the start of me choosing my group members. When picking who I should work with I did not want to particularly choose my friends. This is because I am highly aware of some of my friends' work ethics, and they do not necessarily align with mine. I can sometimes procrastinate but now that I have a job and often have a lot of work after school, I try to finish work days in advance. However, in my search, I did find a friend I have the same interests and a similar mentality about work and classes. This friend of mine and my work partner for this project is Paneet Kandolas. I am 17 and I go to Fort Lauderdale High School, I am in the class of 2025. To describe my future goals, I am interested in being a lawyer and have always been. As a sophomore my goal this year was to become more comfortable and adjust to my studies. I became aware that I am not strong in public speaking and would much rather investigate or research criminals, discussing amongst a small group. Though there are many types of lawyers and not all need to be great speakers, another fundamental thing that made me change my future career was my interest in the human mind or Psychology.
